A Chartered Surveyor with 25 years experience in private practice. Alan has worked on a wide variety of projects providing core building surveying services, health and safety and fire safety and access, regulatory and compliance consultancy. Alan is past chair of The Society of Chartered Surveyors Building Surveying Division and an active member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland. He also sits on the Technical Assessment Board for registration of title, the SCSI education standing committee, and the Construction Safety Partnership and other SCSI committees. Alan has been involved in the stakeholders group with the DOELG in relation to development and implementation of Building Control Amendment Regulations (BCAR) and has spoken in a number of forums on the subject.
